The focus of our Milwaukee based Shotokan Karate club is the practice and teaching of the kihon (basic techniques), kata (forms), and kumite (sparring drills) of traditional Shotokan karate and its philosophy. TRAINING IS LIFE LONG PROCESS TO ACHIEVE FULFILLMENT.

The philosophy of Shotokan Karate Association Wisconsin is expressed in the dojo kun (motto) of Gichin Funakoshi, which states the practitioner of traditional karate should:

• Seek perfection of character.
• Be faithful.
• Endeavor.
• Respect others.
• Refrain from violent behavior.

We associate ourselves and are supported by the  Japan Karate Association of United States.
